EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) - It was all smiles at CAPE Head Start’s Family Fun Day at Wesselman Park on Friday.
Children and families got to play games and enjoy some arts and crafts together. Some even got their face painted.
Evansville Police and Fire were out greeting everyone.
Officials say it’s a fun way to get out and enjoy the weather while interacting with one another.
“This is a giveback for our families because they do a lot and they work hard and this is great for the children to learn," Mary Goedde, CAPE Head Start Director of Children Services, explains. "The community support, we just want to thank everyone.”
This is the fifth year for the Family Fun Day. CAPE Head Start serves 700 children in three different counties.
