EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) - We have an update on a death investigation in Henderson County.

Friends of Vicky Webb gathered Sunday evening for a memorial.

Webb’s friends went to the spot off Tillman Bethel Road where her body was found exactly three weeks ago Sunday. They laid flowers, shared memories, and prayed for peace.

“Dear Lord we are gathered in your name today to celebrate Vicky’s life that was taken from us too soon,” says Melissa Deno.

After six years of friendship, Webb was more like a sister to Deno.

“Even today it just don’t even seem real,” says Deno.

It was an auction hobby that fostered these fast friendships with Webb.

“She was a sweet, loving person that everybody loved, everybody loved. She will be missed by everybody, not just her family, friends, her auction family, she’ll be missed,” says friend Kristy Brock.

“When she entered the room she just always brightened up the room. I can’t even imagine anybody who would even want to hurt her, seriously,” says Deno.

Who would do this? That is the big question, ever present in the place Vicky was found dead, where friends are now celebrating her life.

“She did not deserve none of this. She just didn’t we’re here to put down flowers and to let her know that she will never be forgotten and that she will always be missed,” says Deno.

“I don’t know, she was one of a kind,” says friend Racheal Townsend.

Friends kept in touch with Webb on Facebook.

“She would send you hearts like the little dog you know she would send you hearts," says Townsend.

Nine weeks of silence scream Webb’s absence.

“And now you don’t get those hearts,” says Webb.

“Lord, let Vicky know that she will never be forgotten and that we love her with all of our hearts. In Jesus’s name we pray. Amen,” says Deno.

The Henderson County Sheriff’s Office is actively working the case. Every day, detectives are talking with people.

We are told there is not much more they can do until toxicology reports come in. That is expected any day now.

If you have any information, call the sheriff’s office.
