Princeton Walmart honors long time associate who passed away

PRINCETON, IN (WFIE) - The Walmart in Princeton is honoring a woman who spent 19 years as an employee.

Kelly Tenbarge posted photos to Facebook saying, “Grandma is there to greet you all at Walmart one more time.”

The photos show a table with photos, flowers, and a sign that reads, “Dorothy Anne Kelley, March 23, 1931 - March 23, 2019, 19 year associate, Our Walmart family hearts are heavy with the loss of our dear friend. Gone but never forgotten.”

Dorthy died last Saturday on her 88th birthday.

Her obituary says she worked at the Owensville Cafe and Doc’s Place for 24 years and was the custodian of the Owensville Community Center. She was also a bus driver for the South Gibson School Corporation for 45 years.

Visitation is Friday night from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday morning from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at Holders Funeral Home in Owensville. The funeral is Saturday at 11:00 a.m.
