Semi hauling Ragu tomato sauce catches fire causing I-64 section to close
PERRY CO., IN (WFIE) - Eastbound portion of I-64 shutdown for a few hours after a semi caught fire.
According to ISP Jasper, a semi carrying Ragu tomato sauce caught fire on the eastbound I-64 section at the 85 mile-marker. ISP says all traffic was diverted to exit 79, which is the Tell City exit.
State police believe something on the rear of the trailer caught on fire. Thankfully, no one was hurt from the incident, according to ISP.
Traffic was shut down for a couple hours.
