INDIANA (WFIE) - Indiana Gov. Eric Holcomb gave his State of State address Tuesday night.
Holcomb focused on the four key points of his “Next Level Agenda," which are economy, infrastructure, education and public health.
He wants to make Indiana teacher salaries competitive with other states in the region. His office also plans to focus on helping high school students earn post-secondary credentials before graduation.
A main part of his public health goal is to attack Indiana’s opioid problem.
Holcomb’s speech started at 6 p.m. and lasted around 30 minutes.
