UNIONTOWN, KY (WFIE) - A man was arrested after a police chase started in Illinois and ended in Kentucky.
The Uniontown Police Department said it was called in to help in the chase involving a wanted fugitive in an alleged stolen truck.
Uniontown police put up a roadblock at the Coon Club on Highway 360. The driver, Shawn Gibbs, was forced to slow down and the police chief shot out the two passenger tires.
After leaving Uniontown, police say another roadblock was put up on 360 near 359, where the chase ended after a third tire was shot out.
We’re told Gibbs was tased twice, but it had little effect. He was taken to the Union County Jail on numerous charges.
No one was hurt in the chase.
