LOS ANGELES, CA (AP) - "Marley & Me," with Jennifer Aniston, Owen Wilson and an incorrigible dog, has chewed through a box-office record.

With an estimated $14.75 million in ticket sales, "Marley & Me" has the best Christmas Day opening of any movie in history.

It breaks the previous Christmas record of $10.2 million set by "Ali" in 2001.

Aniston's ex, Brad Pitt, also had an excellent Christmas at the movies. "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" opened with an estimated $11.8 million on December 25th.

And, Adam Sandler's "Bedtime Stories" is expected to break "Ali's" Christmas Day record, as well.
