EVANSVILLE (WFIE)- Folks braved the chilly temperatures to take part in the annual "Jingle Bell Walk/Run" through downtown Evansville; and they ran for a good cause.
The 5k began and ended at the old Courthouse. Organizers say it's a festive way to get in the holiday spirit while helping to kick the leading cause of disability.
"300,000 people in the state of Indiana that are affected with some type of arthritis. And believe it or not, what most people don't know is that 6400 of them are children from age 0 to 17 years. It touches everyone," says Southern Indiana Foundation Director Vicki Eichmiller.
