Cosmetic fillers may make wrinkles worse

The quest to get rid of wrinkles doesn't come without risks.

An FDA review of more than nine hundred reports of adverse events over a nearly five year period linked to cosmetic fillers.

Fillers include the products Rosalyn and Juvederm, among others, and are used to plump skin and reduce scarring.

The report did not list which product caused the adverse reaction.

Most of the reports included minor side effects, like swelling.

However there were reports of serious side effects like clumps under the skin, numbness, infection and rash.
