(WFIE) - Studies have proven the dangers of exposure to outdoor pollution. Now a new study finds indoor pollution can hurt your heart as well.
Experts at the University of Michigan had 65 men and women wear vests that monitored their pollution exposure and the health effect it had.
They found exposure to pollution, both indoors and out, narrowed blood vessels and increased blood pressure.
Even though all the participants lived in non-smoking households, 30 percent were exposed to secondhand smoke -- a major source of indoor pollution.
