Taking a Stand: Toy Town

By Vice-President/General Manager Debbie Bush

As the weather starts to change, we all start to think of the holidays.

And, for the tenth year, 14-WFIE, along with the Salvation Army, will be providing holiday assistance through Toy Town.

Last year, more than one thousand families were given a special holiday throught gifts and food.

In November and December, we will be telling you how you can help with our Toy Drive.  We'll be looking for volunteers, money, and of course, plenty of toys!

But for now, it's important to get signed up if you need help, or know of someone else who needs help.  This is especially important this year, because we are anticipating more need in the community.

Apply at the Salvation Army at 1040 N. Fulton.  You'll need proof of income and expenses, social security cards for your family members and picture ID.

You can apply:

October 24th:  9:00am -- 3:00pm

October 27th - 31st:  9:00am - 3:00pm

October 30th - 5pm to 8pm

For more information, contact The Salvation Army at 812-425-1375 or 812-422-4673.

We hope you'll join us in this important campaign, and make sure more families have a good holiday season!
