Tigers to meet Patriots in Soccer Regional

EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE)- Memorial advanced with a 7-0 win over Gibson Southern on Wednesday night in the IHSAA Soccer Regional boys semifinals.

The Tigers secured their 18th win of the season with another shutout. In the other semifinal, Heritage Hills used a second half goal from Kyle Etienne to defeat Central 1-0 in a defensive struggle.

Top ranked Memorial will now meet Heritage Hills at 7pm on Saturday for the right to move on to the IHSAA Semistate.

    The Evansville Otters had their three-game winning streak snapped and were unable to finish off the sweep of the Florence Freedom as the Otters fell in the finale 6-3 on Sunday afternoon at UC Health Stadium.  In the first inning, Keivan Berges doubled with runners at first and second to bring home one run, but the second runner was thrown out at the plate on a perfect relay from the Otters.
