VERONA, NY (AP)- Evansville Native Jeff Overton was looking for a big finish in New York in the final round of the Turning Stone Championship.

Overton was tied for the lead until back to back bogeys on 16 and 17. He dropped back to six under after some unlucky breaks.

Overton finishes 6 under and tied for 10th.

Rookie Dustin Johnson won his first PGA tour title by sinking an 8-foot birdie putt on the final hole to beat Australia's Robert Allenby by a single shot.

It capped off a 3-under-par 69 that left Johnson 9-under for the tournament.

Allenby's 12-foot putt for a birdie to tie stopped inches short of the hole. Johnson wins just over a million dollars to jump from 128th on the money list into the top 100.
