INDIANAPOLIS, IN (AP) - Indiana lawmakers could soon consider more restrictions for teenage drivers before getting a driver's license.
Supporters of change told a legislative study committee at the Statehouse they favor a ban on cell phones and a requirement for at least 50 hours of supervised driving practice for drivers under 18.
Some question whether parents and their teenagers would struggle to complete 50 hours of driving practice.
Similar proposals have gained little traction during previous legislative sessions.
