Despite tough economic times, Tri-Staters have once again shown their compassion and generosity.
For thirty-eight years (that's right...thirty eight years!) 14WFIE has hosted the Jerry Lewis Labor Day Telethon!
This year was another milestone. A record $691 thousand dollars was raised by local individuals, small businesses and big corporations.
The money raised at last week's telethon will be used for a number of things including funding research and buying equipment. It will also pay for services like summer camp for more than 300 local people with Muscular Dystrophy
It just shows that the Tri-State takes care of its own. And, we see this time after time whenever there's a need in our community. What a wonderful place to call home!
