NATIONAL (AP) - People who suffer migraines may be more likely to develop blood clots.

Researchers studied over 570 adults, of those over one hundred had migraines.

They found nearly 20 percent of migraine sufferers had also experienced blood clots in their veins.

This compares to eight percent of people who never had migraines.

Experts are not sure why people with migraines have more clots. They suspect their blood may be more prone to clotting.
