Study: Green tea good for the heart

Posted by Mike Mardis

Drinking green tea could help your heart.

The study measured how much a major artery dilated after drinking either green tea, a caffeinated beverage, or hot water.

Researchers found people who drank the green tea saw a big improvement in artery dilation.

When arteries dilate it's most likely the result of increased blood flow, which is a good indicator of the health of cells lining the arteries.

The health benefit of green tea is most likely because it's packed with antioxidants.
