As we celebrate Independence Day, there is no better Tri-State symbol than the LST 325 on the Evansville Riverfront. It's a symbol of service and sacrifice.
The World War II ship not only reminds us of our veterans, but also reminds us that many of our neighbors are still in harm's way, guarding our freedom.
So, on this 4th of July, take time out to remember our men and women in uniform. And, also remember their families who are praying for the safe return of their loved ones.
From all of us here at 14 WFIE-TV, have a safe and wonderful holiday.
