After spending a good chunk of the season on the road, the Evansville Otters can settle into their own beds for a week and a half. The Otters opened a nine-game homestand Tuesday night against Southern Illinois.
The Otters began the season with nine straight wins, but have struggled since, currently hovering around the .500 mark. Still, the West Division is up for grabs with every team within two games of the lead approaching the All Star break.
"The teams we have coming in, Rockford, Southern Illinois and Midwest, all three are very capable and competitive," said manager Jason Verdugo. "For us, it's important to play well, especially against the two teams in our division."
