CDC reports drop in rotavirus cases

The CDC has seen a dramatic drop in rotavirus cases.

Rotavirus, marked by severe vomiting and diarrhea, sends hundreds of thousands of children to the doctor each year.

But it appears a new vaccine recommended for infants at two, four and six months old may be working.

The CDC said the results are greater than expected, but will continue to monitor the impact of the vaccine over time.
