Murdered supervisor's widow releases statement

Statement from Sarah Taylor, wife of Kevin Taylor, the supervisor killed in the Atlantis Plastic shooting.

The past several days have been a tremendous drain on our community leaders, police, EMT's, hospital staff and especially the families of the victims and the staff at Atlantis Plastics.

I wish to thank each person who has touched our lives with your care, concern, support and prayers.

A tragedy of this magnitude can do one of two things.  It can either tear your community apart or it can bring you together with greater strength and love.

I pray that we all can find it in our hearts to forgive Neal Higdon and pray for his family.

Neal was a friend of Kevin and me.  He was in our home many times.  He was a troubled young man.  He was a good man.

Atlantis Plastics personnel have shown me and the victims' families immeasurable kindness and love. Thank you.

It is now time to allow my family and the families of those who died to grieve privately and allow us time to heal.  I ask that you please honor my request.
