If you are confused by the switch from analog to digital television, you are not alone.  14WFIE-TV is currently transmitting both signals.

But, by law, we'll have to turn off our analog signal on February 17th.  While many of you know that it is coming, it's estimated somewhere between 20 and 40 percent of you aren't ready for the transition.

Here's the deal.  If you own a digital television, you're in good shape.

All new televisions sold today include a built in digital receiver.  If you still use an analog or older TV, but subscribe to cable or satellite, you'll be fine.

But if you have an analog TV and get your signal over the air (or have rabbit ears), you will NOT be able to receive digital signals until you purchase a converter box.  And here's another complication-some of you that have already installed a converter box-can't receive our digital signal.

It could be you need a newly designed digital antenna-that has more power or "gain."

We know many of you are happy with your TV just the way it is!

But this is a government mandated change.  It is important that you are prepared, so you can watch your favorite programs after February 17, 2009.  Go to the Big Switch page on our website and learn more, so you aren't left behind!
