Evansville and Owensboro are separated by about 40 miles and the Ohio River.  It's an easy drive, but some say it's like the two are separated by the Great Wall of China!

With gas prices so high, we should get to know both cities!

Today, I'd like to tell you about the International Mystery Writers Festival.  It starts on June 12th at the RiverPark Center in Owensboro.

There are 14 productions in 11 days, with more than 75 performances, book signings and movies with discussions from celebrities and famous writers like Gene Hackman and Mary Higgins Clark.

The Festival will bring in three to five million dollars in local revenue to the city.

But it isn't just Evansville folks that don't know about the event.

Most of the people who attended the festival last year traveled from outside of the area.  So it seems like both Evansville...and Owensboro...are missing out on great entertainment.

For more information, go to www.riverparkcenter.org.

On Thursday, we take a look at the Lincoln Bicentennial Celebrations in Kentucky, Illinois and Indiana!
