By Debbie Bush, VP and General Manager of WFIE

I know all of us are alarmed by the gas prices.

Not only are we paying about $4.00 a gallon or more right before the Memorial Day Holiday, there are predictions it could reach $5.00 or $6.00 dollars a gallon by the end of the summer.

I wish we had a solution to this mess-but we don't. I know I've been closely watching the hearings in Washington as the big oil companies answer tough question from our Lawmakers.

Like you, I don't like or understand their answers.

So what can we do?

Right now, the only thing we can do is watch our consumption.  We can stay closer to home and give our money to Tri-State attractions.

The 14 News Department promises to provide continuous coverage this summer on the "Pain at the Gas Pump."

And, ask tough questions of our Lawmakers.

And, you can tell us where you see the cheaper gas prices and we will post them for everyone to see on our website and give several locations during each newscast.

I also hope you will send me your thoughts on how we can take a stand on these gas prices!
