Unsolved Murder: Cathy Kohm

Santa Claus, Indiana

DNA testing in the unsolved murder case of a Santa Claus, Indiana girl answered little questions about the case but the actions of the key suspect might have.

Eleven-year-old Cathy Kohm was found murdered near her home in 1981.

The primary suspect in the case was an Evansville firefighter Stanton Gash.

Gash committed suicide a few years ago in Florida shortly after state police served a warrant to collect DNA samples from him.

Testing on that DNA came back inconclusive, leaving the case officially unsolved.
