An unusually cold beginning to March may have Vectren customers paying high bills through April, Vectren officials warn.
"We are urging customers to prepare their budgets accordingly, continue to find ways to use less energy and, as always, contact us immediately should a bill force them into a situation in which they cannot pay," says Vectren's Vice President of Marketing and Conservation Doug Petitt.
On March 15, a state moratorium ended which prohibited the disconnection of utilities for customers who qualified under low-income guidelines. Chase Kelley, director of communications, told Business Watch has already begun the process of notifying customers who will be affected by the end of state moratorium.
