Evansville Living publisher named finalist for national awards

The City & Regional Magazine Association (CRMA) recognized Tucker Publishing Group (TPG), the producers of Evansville Living, Evansville Business, and Business Watch, as a finalist for two national awards: Best Ancillary Publication and Multimedia Extensions.

TPG competed against 912 entries from city and regional magazines across the United States, including Texas Monthly, Los Angeles and Philadelphia magazines, who earned the most nominations at the 23rd annual CRMA awards.

City View 2007, TPG's annual visitor's and relocator's guide, was named a finalist in the ancillary publication category. It was the first year City View was recognized by the CRMA but not the first time TPG has received a CRMA award.

"Our national City & Regional Magazine Awards are significant because they mark the third consecutive year we have been honored among our peers," says Kristen Tucker, publisher and editor. "Judging criteria considers how well the nominated magazines serve their communities, in addition to design and editorial excellence, and we are particularly proud of that."

The finalists were judged by editors, writers, and graphic designers from national publications such as Esquire, Atlantic Monthly, Sports Illustrated, Fast Company, The New York Times, Southern Living, ESPN The Magazine, and The Washington Post.

TPG was also recognized in the Multimedia Extensions category, for their partnerships with local radio and television media in branding their publications. At last year's award ceremony, TPG won the gold award for this category.
