No jail time for a Gibson County man who pleaded guilty to animal cruelty and neglect charges.

Richard Stallings was arrested in August of 2006 after 130 malnourished horses were seized from his Owensville farm. He pleaded guilty in the case and was sentenced Thursday.

Stallings was convicted of 50 various misdemeanors.  That was a reduction from the eight felonies and 42 misdemeanors he was previously facing.

A Gibson County judge sentenced Stallings to one year of probation, including four months of home detention.

The judge also told Stallings he was to not have contact with animals during this time.
