There are some frightening diseases and conditions out there. You could have one without knowing it! So, what can you do? 14 Health has discovered four tests for conditions your doctor may not check for, until it's too late.

66-year-old Roy Meadows takes risks on the stock market, but not with his health. Well, at least not anymore. Roy says, "Drank too much and stayed out too much." Now, Roy is being tested for four conditions with a mobile screening company. Cadiologist Sharon Nichols says, "They can bring that test to you to their physician and say, 'you know what, this wasn't exactly right, can you look into this further for me?'"

Up to 90 percent of people with a ruptured aortic aneurysm will die. A simple ultrasound test checks for a tell-tale bulge in the aorta. This ultrasound checks for a blockage in the carotid artery, a major risk factor for a stroke. But if surgeons remove the buildup, the risk goes down 50%. During therid test, the tech checks blood pressure in the arms and legs, detecting a problem could save you from amputation! And finally, by testing the density of the heel bone you'll know if you're at risk of osteoporosis and can combat it with vitamins and exercise.

Roy says he'll keep up with his health, with vitamins and regular screenings. Roy says the tests found no major problems except lower bone mass. He's started taking calcium and walking more to build up his bone strength. The preventive screenings Roy received were not covered by insurance but were part of a $200 package deal.
