IL teen running for mayor

James "Jimmy" Einhaus is running for mayor in the central Illinois town of Oglesby at age 19.

Einhaus is a political science major at Illinois Valley Community College and a lifelong Oglesby resident. He says he's been interested in politics for as long as he can remember.

He's running a door-to-door campaign and hasn't declared a party. He says he wants to bring "a sense of honesty back into politics." His 19-year-old best friend is his campaign manager.

After completing his studies at the community college in a year, Einhaus plans to commute to Northern Illinois University. He says that will work with his schedule as mayor.

He acknowledges that most people are skeptical of his age. He tries to tell them "age is just a number."
