If you duck into one building on Evansville's Main Street in a couple of weeks, you might get a lecture.
It's the new Robert Koch Science Center. It opened Tuesday for Signature School students. It's the old Woolworth building, transformed into a chemistry and physics lab and outdoor classroom. And the teachers love it.
Science teacher Shane Thread says, "I will finally have the facilities where I can, in the middle of a lecture, jump into a lab. In the middle of a lab, jump into a lecture. The way we designed this facility is to be used for a lecture and a lab. And, for me, as a teacher, is very important to be able to go back and forth between the two situations."
