"Dirt Bowl" Player Collapses, Dies - Tri-State News, Weather & Sports

A 25-year-old Lexington man died Thursday night after collapsing in a basketball game in Lexington.
Ethan Jenkins was playing in the annual Dirt Bowl at Douglass Park when he collapsed just before 7:00 PM.
Jenkins was given CPR by a park employee and an off-duty EMS attendant before being taken to Saint Joseph's Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The cause of death was not released. Lexington-Fayette County Urban Government deputy coroner John McCarty said Jenkins' family physician signed the death certificate.
The national weather service said the temperature in Lexington at 6:00 PM on Wednesday was 85 degrees, with a heat index of 88 degrees.
