It was a hero's welcome in Newburgh this Sunday for some special lady athletes.
Dozens of fans welcomed home the newly crowned women's state basketball champions from Castle High School with an afternoon parade.
The Lady Knight's big win is the first state title for basketball in the school's history. And the players are proud to bring the trophy home to Newburgh.
Lady Knight Emerald Graham says, "Just memories of us, just being together, and just making to the state championship as a team for the first (time) and winning it, that is just the biggest memory. I will never forget. I will never forget that moment."
Monday morning at 8, the team will present the state championship trophy to the student body at a pep rally.
