
POPULATION
Evansville, located in Vanderburgh County, is the third largest city in Indiana and covers 41 square miles. The city was incorporated in 1847 and has a population of 121,582 according to the 2000 U.S. Census. The Metropolitan Statistical Area, including Vanderburgh, Gibson, Posey and Warrick Counties in Indiana, along with Henderson County in Kentucky, contains a population of more than 328,500 residents according to the 2000 U.S. Census.
