Crowd filled with supporters, protesters at Trump rally

EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) - Evansville Police responded to a few incidents Thursday night outside the Ford Center.

According to police reports, two people were arrested for battery.

Jeffrey Hamm and Paris Kimbrew have both been released from jail on $100 bonds.

These are the two arrests Paige Hagan reported during our special coverage.

Another woman says she was slapped in the face by a man who did not like the shirt she was wearing for the Trump Rally.

That man took off before police were notified.

Earlier in the afternoon, police also responded to a suspicious package that was found at Sycamore and MLK.

Officers say a white suitcase and a black duffle bag were left in front of the barricade.

Police reports say the area was evacuated until the items were determined to be safe.

In another incident, a man working at a business on John Street reported a man on his property flipping off a helicopter that was in the air because of the Presidential visit.

The property owner says when he told the man to leave, he pulled out a knife and threatened him with it.

The men argued until an officer arrived. The property owner didn't press charges.

Finally, police reports say a Good Samaritan found someone's wallet and returned it to an officer.
