USI welcomes class of 2022 with Move-In Day

VANDERBURGH CO., IN (WFIE) - Our back to school coverage continues, but now it's time for college students to head back!

Thursday, August 16 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. new USI students will begin moving into their new residence halls or apartments on campus.

But before heading to their new residences, new students will go to the Physical Activities Center (PAC) where volunteers will direct students and their families where to go. Students and their families should park in Lot C outside of the PAC.

Students will check in with housing at the PAC to pick up their key, USI gear, parking permit and Welcome Week schedule.

Representatives from the Registrar's Office, Food Services, Public Safety and local businesses will be able to provide resources and answer questions as well.

When leaving the PAC, traffic control volunteers will direct students where to go and volunteers will meet vehicles at the residence halls and freshman apartments to assist with moving in.

Dr. Ronald Rochon, USI's president, will be greeting students at the PAC until 10 a.m.

For more details and answers to frequently asked questions regarding the move-in process and things that you shouldn't bring, refer to USI's website.

A map of the campus, including the PAC as well as all open parking lots, can also be found on the website.

Returning students will move in from Friday, August 17 through Sunday, August 19. Returning students will check in at the Housing and Residence Life Office from 9 a.m. to Midnight. Parking is located out front of the office.

This is where returning students will pick up their key, parking permit and USI gear.
