TRI-STATE (WFIE) -

The Dubois County Sheriff's office is warning of a phone scam.

Someone is calling claiming to be with the Sheriff's Department and informing the person who answers that there is a warrant out for them. The sheriff says the department does make calls like this, but they never ask for personal information or money.

If you get a call like this, hang up and report it.

Drunk driving threatens all our neighbors.

"Drive sober or get pulled over," is the slogan the Evansville Police and Vanderburgh County Sheriff's Office is enforcing this upcoming Labor Day weekend. Indiana law enforcement agencies have taken part in this annual campaign for more than 20 years.

Starting August 10 and going through September 3 will be an enforcement period for EPD. More officers will be patrolling the city looking for impaired drivers.

Police will be in full force through Labor Day.

EPD hopes to spread awareness through this campaign and get this information out to inform the community.

The Henderson Police Department's Fall Citizen's Academy is coming up.
