EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) -

An investigation into a house fire is underway on the north side of Evansville.

Our crew was on scene right after that broke out on Tulip Avenue around 2 Friday morning.

Investigators say the fire started outside with a moped under the home's carport. They say the fire then made it's way up the side of the home to the attic.

We're told investigators are still working to figure out how the fire actually started.

Seven people were inside the home at the time the fire started, 4 adults and 3 children. Fire officials say two of the adults had minor burns from trying to put out the fire and they were treated at the scene.

Two firefighters were also treated for injuries from falling drywall.

The Red Cross was called in to assist the family.
