UNION CO., KY (WFIE) -

The new Waverly Volunteer Fire Station is taking shape.

Work is expected to wrap up soon and provide a much-needed upgrade of services to the residents.

The current fire station is nearly 40-years-old.

We're told Coal Severance Funds will pay for the new building.
