Fire chief: Chemicals caught fire at Master Brand plant

FERDINAND, IN (WFIE) - Several people were treated for breathing problems after a fire at the Master Brand plant in Ferdinand on Friday morning.

The fire chief told us firefighters got there around 9:30 a.m. after chemicals in a finishing room caught fire.

A few employees were taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation.

The damage to the building was minimal but still costly.

Master Brand will be back open on Monday.
