Weather Headline: Sunshine/Not as hot
New Heat Advisories have been posted in western Tennessee, Arkansas, and Missouri. However, dew-points in the lower 60's early Thursday instead of the usual lower to mid-70's. The muggy meter is in the humid range but definitely less oppressive.
Sunshine and not as hot with high temps in the upper 80's. Drier air the next few days will shut down the chance for isolated thunderstorms.
The Heat Index will match the air temp which is rare anytime during July.
Hotter on Friday under sunny skies with high temps in the lower 90’s. The feel like temp will range from 95-100 during the afternoon. The heat will persist through the weekend with high temps in the lower to mid-90’s under sunny skies. The heat and humidity will produce a heat index near 100 during peak heating.
