EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) - Crews rescued a man from a car that plunged into the Ohio River early Thursday morning.
Police say 29-year-old Kristopher Goffinet was seen driving the wrong way on the Lloyd just before he turned onto Wabash Ave. and drove through a barrier into the river.
Rescuers used a boat to get him out of the river and bring him back to shore. Goffinet was then taken to the hospital.
Officers say he told them he used meth and drank alcohol before the crash. He was taken to Deaconess to be treated before he was taken to the Vanderburgh County Jail on an OMVWI charge.?
