EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) - Rejoice football fans! High school football season is right around the corner and the Evansville Teachers Federal Credit Union held a media day for the 2018 Border Bowl Football Challenge.
The Credit Union partners up with eight high school football teams to host a pair of doubleheaders in week two of the High School football season.
This year is more unique then others as all of the games will be hosted in Evansville, as opposed to Owensboro the years before.
The Kentucky teams are looking for vengeance as Evansville swept last year's challenge going 4-and-0 for bragging rights and a cool-looking trophy.
Here's a look at the schedule for the Upcoming Border Bowl.
On Friday, August 24, Reitz and Owensboro will showdown at the Reitz Bowl at 5 p-m with Mater Dei and Apollo following.
On Saturday, August 25, Central and Daviess County will kickoff at 4 p.m. on Enlow Field with Memorial and Owensboro Catholic the last game of the challenge.
