Men's soccer releases 2018 slate

EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) - For the fifth consecutive season, University of Southern Indiana Men's Soccer will open the 2018 campaign against Kentucky Wesleyan College, with this year's contest August 30 in Owensboro, Kentucky.
The Screaming Eagles follow up their season opener with their home opener September 2 against Northern Michigan University, before concluding non-conference play at Davenport University September 7.
USI begins Great Lakes Valley Conference play September 14 by hosting Drury University. After a pair of road games, the Eagles open a two-game homestand at Strassweg Field against Bellarmine University September 23 in the Gold Game and finish up hosting the University of Illinois Springfield September 28.
After a three-game road trip, the Eagles return home for four games beginning October 12 against Maryville University. USI welcomes national semifinalist Rockhurst University October 19 as the third game of the homestand.
USI closes the home slate against William Jewell College October 21, and wraps up the regular season at Lewis University October 24.
The 16-game schedule includes three games against 2017 NCAA Tournament teams, Maryville, Rockhurst and the University of Indianapolis October 7.
The GLVC Tournament begins October 28 with home games at the higher seeds, with the semifinals and championship November 2-4 at a site to be determined. The NCAA II Tournament begins November 8 with the Final Four November 29-December 1.
USI will look to replace All-GLVC goalkeeper Adam Zehme and midfielders Kyle Richardville and Riley Belding. The Eagles return their top four scorers, including All-GLVC and leading scorer junior forward Eric Ramirez (Vincennes, Indiana) and All-Midwest Region junior defender Drew Albert (Eureka, Missouri), to a team that fell in the final seconds of the GLVC Championship game.
