EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) - A deliciously sticky situation unfolded at the Circle K Marathon gas station at 3105 N First Avenue in Evansville Wednesday.
Employees made good on promises to take pies to the face if the customer's helped them enough money for Riley Children's Hospital in Indianapolis.
The store set a goal of raising $1,500 in the annual drive, but they ended up raising $2,125. Wednesday afternoon, three Circle K employees took the sweet blow to the face, delivered by a boy, Sylis, who is a Riley patient himself.
The store manager tells us, they were also able to help Sylis' family with gift cards for gasoline to get back and forth to the hospital.
Circle K stores in the region raised more than $16,000 combined for Riley Children's Hospital.
