EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) - A new learning garden is coming to Evansville.
The Board of Park Commissioners approved early plans to build the garden at the C.K. Newsome Center's unused greenspace.
Volunteers will help run the garden while Leadership Evansville comes up with the plans.
"It's going to be a wonderful learning experience," said Jean Reising. "We will be able to utilize different growing techniques, involve both our businesses and our nonprofits."
The goal is for the garden to be in place by next year.
