VANDERBURGH CO., IN (WFIE) -

The Girl Scouts of Southern Indiana have a fun summer planned and they want the community to get involved.

Two events are just around the corner a "Man enough" golf outing in Evansville, where men are invited to come out and support their daughters and granddaughters who are local girl scouts.

The next event, the "Tough Cookie" mud run held at their camp in Cannelton, Indiana.

Click here for info on both events and how you can get involved with Girl Scouts.

All money raised stays local and supports Girl Scouts of Southwestern Indiana.

"Honestly, getting out there and having a project that can impact locally, the whole community or even globally. Like, one of our girls went to Hati and taught about dental hygiene and brought a bunch of products down there for them. It's just amazing what these girls are doing, going out there making a difference. It's just amazing to see what these girls can do." says Girl Scouts of Southwestern Indiana Director of Marketing and Communications, Shari Dickerson.
