EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) - Girl Scouts across the country are showing their pride for Girl Scout Pride Day.
The organization is asking members to show how proud they are to be part of the group. Members are asked to wear their gear to school or work on Tuesday and share their day on Facebook and Instagram with the hashtags #girlscoutpride or #girlscoutstrong.
"We have so many amazing things going on, over the past 100 years, Girl Scouts have continued to put girls front and center," explained Aimee Stachura, CEO, Girl Scouts of Southwest Indiana. "They are always thinking about their best interests, really thinking about how they learn best and what is unique about girls. So, we're excited to showcase that, stand together and say, 'hey, we are together and we are proud."
Girl Scouts of Southwest Indiana have two, big events coming up this summer that you can be a part of. Watch 14 News Sunrise on Wednesday for more information on these upcoming events.
