VANDERBURGH CO., IN (WFIE) - Crews were battling two fires in Vanderburgh County.
Dispatch told us one of the fires was at the 4700 block of Ohara Drive at Feller's Towing and Recovery service.
The fire started around 4:30 in the shop area. Officials tell us an employee was working in the shop welding, and that is what they believed caused the fire.
The cause is still under investigation. Everyone was able to get out of the business safely, but the business cat is still lost.
Officials tell us the fire was too dangerous for firefighters to go inside, so they had to attack from the outside first.
Fire officials say the building is a total loss.
Employees at Feller tell us this fire won't stop them, and they still plan on working on Monday.
Just about a mile down the road from Fellers about the same time was a house fire in the 4100 block of Bergdolt road in Evansville.
Officials say the fire started in the attic, and they believe it was an electrical fire but they are still investigating.
Firefighters say this hot weather is their biggest battle.
