JASPER, IN (WFIE) - The Indiana State Police post in Jasper honored those who lost their lives in the line of duty with their annual memorial service Friday.
Each fallen member had their name read along with a description of what they were doing when they were killed. Taps were also played to help honor the fallen members.
"It is a very special day for us because it provides the opportunity to come together and honor those who sacrificed their lives," said Sgt. Todd Ringle.
In total, 46 Indiana State Police members have died while in the line of duty since the agency was founded in 1933.
